High Quality Backlink

One of the most common SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategy which is used by Internet Marketer is backlink building. It consists of an activity to make as many link which point to our site as possible. If a website / blog has many backlink, its popularity will be increased. Search engine will rank pages which have many backlinks better than pages which doesn't have or less backlinks.

But be aware that, backlinks also has its own quality. A low quality backlinks won't give a page any advantage. If you put your link on a page that is not even indexed by the search engine, of course the link itself will be useless. There are some criteria to know whether a backlink has high quality or not.

   One way back link
   One way back link will be valued much more than two-way backlink. It means, other pages links to our page, there is no link from our page to the other page. It means, link exchange service won't be effective as it used to be.
   
   
2. The link is from high quality blog. A link from a high PR Blog will be valued much higher than a link from a blog which is not even indexed by the search engine. If a high PR blog put a link to your blog, it will make your blog's popularity growing rapidly.
   
3. The link is from the similar niche blog / website. A link from a page which has no correlation with your page will be valued less. Thus, it is important to put your link on a similar niche blog / website.
   
4. The link is from various website / blog. Having 1 link from 100 different blog is much better than having 100 links from 1 blog.
   
5. Natural. A natural link (a link which placed by the blogger as a courtesy) will be valued much higher than those of a link which is exchanged or even bought. If you got caught selling your backlink, your blog will be de-indexed from the search engine.
   

That is some of characteristics of high quality backlinks. Maybe the list is not complete, but at least it will cover the basic for your backlink building. So you will know where to start and avoid wasting your time on useless backlinks building.
